Meet Dr. Vikas Dhawan
I founded Apollo Physical Therapy Centre in 2003 with a simple belief: when you help people understand their bodies and build confidence in what they’re capable of, you can change far more than pain. You can change lives.
My own journey into chiropractic began as a teenager. I was active in sports but constantly struggled with low back pain that was dismissed as “normal.” It wasn’t until I saw a chiropractor that I finally discovered the true cause. As my body began to recover, so did my performance.
That experience completely changed the direction of my life and inspired me to pursue a career focused on helping others uncover the root cause of their challenges instead of simply managing symptoms.Over the past two decades, I’ve had the privilege of working with thousands of people, from those living with persistent pain to high-performing athletes, professionals, and veterans. While every person’s story is different, my approach remains the same. I take the time to understand the person in front of me, identify what’s holding them back, and create a plan that helps them move, function, and live with greater confidence.
My treatment approach combines chiropractic care, soft tissue therapy, movement assessment, rehabilitation strategies, and patient education. I believe the body functions as an integrated system, and lasting change comes from improving the way it moves, adapts, and responds to the demands of everyday life. Just as important as treatment itself is helping people understand why they’re experiencing a problem and giving them the knowledge and tools to take ownership of their health.
Those experiences eventually became the foundation for BrainChamp, the system that powers NeuroKin-X. Through years of clinical experience, I became increasingly interested in how the brain, nervous system, movement, balance, breathing, and recovery all work together to influence human performance. NeuroKin-X was created to bring those principles together in a way that helps people build the foundational capacity behind everything they do.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple goal: to help people realize they’re capable of more than they think. When people begin to move with greater confidence, understand their bodies, and believe in their own resilience, the possibilities extend far beyond the clinic.

Meet Dr. Abed Hamidi
Hello! My name is Dr. Abed Hamidi. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa before earning my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.
Sports have played a major role in my life from a young age. I played football competitively throughout my childhood and into adulthood, beginning in minor club leagues at age ten and continuing to the collegiate level at the University of Ottawa. My years as an athlete helped shape my passion for rehabilitation, performance, and healthcare. Having experienced multiple injuries and surgeries firsthand, I understand both the physical and mental challenges that come with recovery. Those experiences gave me a deep appreciation for proactive healthcare and inspired me to pursue a career focused on helping others move and perform at their best.
My approach to treatment is centered around helping patients return to the activities that matter most to them, whether that’s competing in sport, training in the gym, staying active with family, or simply moving through daily life with less pain and better function. I use a combination of chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, and exercise-based rehabilitation to improve mobility, reduce strain on the body, and support long-term recovery and performance. I also place a strong emphasis on patient education and ensuring that each individual understands their condition, treatment plan, and has the tools to manage their symptoms independently.
As someone who grew up in Ottawa, I’m proud to serve the community that has helped shape me and am passionate about helping others in achieving their health, movement, and performance goals.

Meet Jon Casey
I completed my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Memorial University of Newfoundland and have spent more than 13 years working in healthcare, rehabilitation, and human performance.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work as a registered kinesiologist, vision therapist, personal trainer, and physiotherapy assistant. Those experiences have given me a unique perspective on how the visual, neurological, and musculoskeletal systems work together to influence the way we move, perform, and recover.
Whether I’m helping someone return from an injury, preparing for surgery, improving athletic performance, or reducing the risk of future injuries, my goal is always the same: to help people move with greater confidence and efficiency while building long-term resilience.
A large part of my practice focuses on athletes and active individuals. I work with everything from return-to-sport programming and gait analysis to strength and conditioning, mobility development, and performance training. My background in vision therapy also allows me to integrate visual performance into rehabilitation and sport, helping improve skills such as reaction time, eye-hand coordination, visual tracking, peripheral awareness, and decision-making under pressure.
I believe better performance starts with a better-functioning system. By looking at movement, vision, balance, strength, and coordination together, I develop individualized programs that not only address today’s challenges but also help reduce the likelihood of future setbacks.
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is seeing clients regain confidence in their movement—whether that’s returning to competition, recovering from an injury, or simply feeling stronger and more capable in everyday life.
When I’m not at the clinic, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, cooking, camping, staying active, or out on the golf course.

Meet Domenica
I recently completed my Master’s degree in Biomechanics at the University of Ottawa after earning my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. My passion for biomechanics began through my own experiences as a competitive swimmer and has grown into a career dedicated to understanding how the body functions and translating that knowledge into practical strategies that help people feel and perform their best.
As a former member of the Ecuador National Swim Team and an NCAA Division II athlete, I understand the physical and mental demands that come with training and competition. Those experiences continue to shape the way I work with athletes today, both as an assistant swim coach and as a clinician helping people overcome injuries, build confidence, and achieve their goals.
My research has taken me from studying athletic biomechanics to improving equipment fit and comfort for military personnel. While those projects may seem very different, they all share the same goal: understanding how mechanics, environment, and the human body work together to influence long-term health and physical capacity.
I enjoy helping people better understand their bodies and identifying the small changes that can make a meaningful difference over time. Whether someone is recovering from an injury, preparing for their next competition, or simply looking to better understand how their body works, my goal is to help them make informed changes that build confidence, efficiency, and resilience for the long term.
Outside the clinic, you’ll usually find me on the pool deck coaching swimmers or continuing to learn about the science of human movement. I’m also proud to provide care in both English and Spanish.

Meet Matthew saleh
Matthew is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) who graduated from the accelerated program at the International School of Massage Therapy in Ottawa. His deep interest in the human body and functional movement began over 15 years ago and continues to inform his client-centred approach to care.
Matthew’s practice focuses on supporting clients dealing with chronic pain, old injuries, repetitive strain, and restricted movement. He recognizes that symptoms are often interconnected across different areas of the body, which is why he conducts thorough assessments to understand each individual’s functional needs. By integrating myofascial techniques, fascial line concepts, and traditional massage therapy methods, he works to help clients improve mobility, relieve muscle tension, and support recovery.
To complement his manual practice, Matthew offers therapeutic options including Seqex technology, an innovative wellness modality that utilizes Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy and the Ion Cyclotron Resonance (ICR) effect. Grounded in biophysical research, Seqex therapy aims to promote microcirculation and facilitate deep tissue relaxation—offering a gentle, non-invasive addition to standard soft-tissue treatments.
Known for his thoughtful and attentive approach, Matthew takes the time to listen, understand each client’s specific health goals, and tailor every treatment plan accordingly. Whether you are addressing a long-standing issue, recovering from an injury, or seeking to improve overall ease of movement, Matthew is committed to helping you optimize your physical function through personalized, evidence-informed care.

Meet Francis
I completed my Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy at Algonquin College after discovering a passion for helping people improve their health and well-being. Since then, I’ve continued to build my knowledge through extensive hands-on training alongside the experienced practitioners at Apollo Physical Therapy Centre and NeuroKin-X. I’m always looking for opportunities to learn, improve, and find new ways to better support both our patients and our team.
My role allows me to work directly with patients by guiding exercise sessions, assisting with rehabilitation and balance training, and supporting people throughout their care. I’m also a Certified NeuroTracker Cognitive Trainer and enjoy helping patients build confidence as they develop new skills and work toward their goals.
Before entering healthcare, I spent years working in customer service, where I learned the importance of listening, building trust, and making every interaction a positive one. Those experiences continue to shape how I connect with patients and help create a welcoming environment.
Outside the clinic, I’ve trained in martial arts, an experience that has taught me the value of discipline, consistency, and continual growth. Those same principles continue to guide the way I approach both my work and my own personal development.
Whether I’m guiding exercise sessions, encouraging patients as they learn new movement patterns, or helping them celebrate the progress they’ve made, I’m passionate about helping people succeed and proud to be part of the NeuroKin-X team.
