PEMF Recovery

Our Perspective

We spend a lot of time thinking about how people train. We think it’s just as important to think about how they recover.

PEMF isn’t a replacement for quality training, rehabilitation, nutrition, or sleep. It’s another tool that can work alongside those things to support recovery and help you stay consistent over time

PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy delivers gentle electromagnetic pulses that interact with the body at the cellular level.

Every tissue in your body is made up of cells. Whether you’re recovering from training, managing an injury, or preparing for your next competition, the body’s normal processes of repair and adaptation begin at the cellular level.

For this reason, PEMF has become a recovery modality used in both rehabilitation and performance settings.

At NeuroKin-X Performance, PEMF is available as a standalone recovery service or can be added to work alongside other treatments and performance services

PEMF may be worth considering if you are looking to:

  • Support recovery between training sessions.
  • Complement rehabilitation following an injury.
  • Better manage the physical demands of regular training or competition.
  • Add a non-invasive recovery option to your current care plan.

Make recovery a more intentional part of your overall performance strategy

Your PEMF session is designed to be a comfortable and relaxing experience.

Treatment is typically provided while you remain fully clothed while seated in a specialized treatment chair with integrated PEMF pads.

When localized treatment is indicated, additional treatment pads can be positioned over specific areas of the body to target that region.

PEMF sessions are available in both 30-minute and 60-minute appointments.

Common questions

Everyone’s experience is a little different. Some people notice a gentle pulsing sensation during treatment, while others feel very little at all. Most people describe the session as comfortable and relaxing.

PEMF is not recommended for everyone. Individuals with certain implanted electronic medical devices, such as pacemakers, and those who are pregnant should discuss PEMF with their practitioner before treatment. Your practitioner will review your health history to determine whether PEMF is a suitable option for you.

Yes. In fact, PEMF is often used alongside other treatments as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation or performance plan. It can be added to work alongside physiotherapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy, BrainChamp Performance Training, balance training, and other services based on your individual goals.

The frequency of treatment depends on your goals. Some people schedule sessions occasionally to support recovery, while others choose to include PEMF more regularly as part of a rehabilitation or performance plan. Your practitioner can recommend a schedule that best aligns with your goals.

No special preparation is required. We recommend arriving well hydrated and continuing to stay hydrated following your session.

While everyone’s experience is different, some people leave feeling relaxed or tired, while others feel refreshed or energized. These responses are typically temporary and vary from person to person.

Choosing the right recovery approach isn’t always straightforward—and you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

If you’re unsure whether PEMF is the right fit, simply send us a message describing what you’ve been experiencing, your goals, or what you’d like help with. Our team will review your information and let you know whether PEMF may be a good addition to your care or recommend another service that better suits your needs.
